“When words become unclear, I shall focus with photographs. When images become inadequate, I shall be content with silence.”  Ansel Adams

A feeling.  A moment.  An emotional experience.  That, to me, is photography.  We can get stuck behind the lens or become part of it.  Fully integrated into focusing on that which inspires us.  Granite grandeur  painted against greens and blues or the nuances of a leaf as it floats along a stream.

It involves all our senses:  hearing a bird chirp to catch it on the wing; feeling the wind as it whispers past; smelling the buffalo as they shake off winter's blanket; tasting fresh berries picked as you wait for the heron to return; and seeing, always seeing that which often is hidden from sight.

Enjoy!
